What is GiftCardRescue.com?

GiftCardRescue.com is an online marketplace where visitors can buy, sell, or exchange unused gift cards. What differentiates us from the competition is that our customers buy, sell, or exchange gift cards directly with us. Our services benefit our customers in two ways:

1. We save time since customers do not have to wait to find someone to buy, sell, or exchange their gift cards with.
2. We reduce the incidence of fraud since customers do not have to worry about buying, selling, or exchanging gift cards online with strangers. In addition, our Return/Guarantee policy provides our customers with the peace of mind when doing business with us.

How do I make payments for gift card purchases?

GiftCardRescue.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express Credit and Debit Cards.

How long does it take to get my check?

Checks are mailed within two business days after we receive your gift card and verify the value. You will receive an email update when the check is mailed. All checks are mailed via USPS First Class mail and take about 7 – 10 business days to arrive.

How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of your order, login and click on “My Account” at the top right corner of the page. Status updates are also sent to the email address we have on file, beginning with the order confirmation email. Sometimes, emails may end up in the spam box, so be sure to check your spam folder and add us to your address book to ensure that you receive status updates about your order.

What is a Merchandise(Store) Credit?

A Merchandise(Store) Credit is a card, (like a gift card) that is issued by retailers when someone returns merchandise to the store. The amount of the returns is credited to this card and can be used at the store to purchase items for up to the value on the card.

Do You Accept Merchandise(Store) Credits?

Yes, GiftCardRescue.com will buy your Merchandise(Store) Credit as long as the merchant is on our list.

Can a Merchandise(Store) Credits be used just like a Gift Card?

Yes, Merchandise(Store) Credits can be used just like gift cards to make purchases.

My gift card merchant is not on your list. Would you buy it?

No, we only buy gift cards from merchants that are on our list.

Do you operate in Canada?

No, we currently only buy or sell gift cards to United States Residents.

How do I find out how much my gift card is worth (current value)?

On the back of your gift card, you will find a serial number and pin number that are unique to your card. You will also find a toll free number. Call the toll free number and you will be asked to enter the serial number and pin to verify the current value on the card. If there is no number to call on your card, visit the card issuer’s website for assistance in checking the value on your card. You need the current value on the card to sell or exchange the card with GiftCardRescue.com. You can also check your gift card balance here.

Is there a minimum and maximum value for gift cards that can be sold or exchanged with GiftCardRescue.com?

Yes. You can sell or exchange your gift card at GiftCardRescue.com if the current value of the gift card is $20 or more and up to $5,000. GiftCardRescue.com does not buy or exchange gift cards with a current value of less than $20 or more than $5,000.

Why do you only buy gift cards with values between $20 to $5,000?

It has been our experience that gift cards with balances between $20 to $5,000 have the best resale value. However, we periodically review this policy based on market conditions and increase or decrease this limit accordingly.
